Since a couple of months, I've been building
an extension for Visual Code. Below are the first screenshots of my work in progress.
Navigate a map of files
The map of files gives a first impression of the project. Zooming out gives you a helicopter view.
And zooming in shows the details, such as a preview, the number of lines and the branch name of each file. The source code files are colored coded. Currently, the color corresponds to the relative complexity. Clicking a file on the map opens that document in the IDE.
Building a knowledge graph for source code
A right click on selected text in Visual Code adds code snippets, comments or connections to the knowledge graph. Similar to the file map, the visualization of the graph allows to zoom in and out and by clicking on a code snippet, the IDE will open the text document.
